okay, with 2oo9 comes all sorts of new goals. obviously, blogging should be high on my priorities, as well as my focus refined when tackling the createability team etsy, that i started prior to the holidays. first of all lets sum up 2008!
2008 started off with me being a lazy butt! we didn't have a car, so i really felt like i couldn't get anything done! i started my site in February and it really had a slow start! i continued to do treatment all through the year. in june, i started doing home shows and had a huge wholesale order with a shop in brookside. homeshows proved to be very effective, and i think i did 6 or 7 before the year was over! in october i did a trunk show at a local shop~that was a blast, and made me miss working retail just a smidge. not alot....but a little. i did have to sit the entire time, and it was exhausting but fun, nonetheless! also in october, i answered a call to form the createability team. it's a team on etsy who's members are disabled, or are caregivers of someone who is disabled. we have a strong group in numbers, but we are ready to tackle 'o9 with some events to really promote and support the members! christmas on etsy was busy and alot of fun! i, of course, have no ly numbers to compare it to, but i stayed busy enough and it seemed alittle overwhelming as i drew closer to medical tests and such. i really found it hard to focus on the shop with results looming! really the first time i've experienced that...
the test results came back, and were very good. the area in my lung and 2 of the 3 lymph nodes that were previously showing metabolic activity, did not show activity. so, just one lymph node misbehaving! so, that too was really really great!
so, with all that behind me....its time to set some goals for 2oo9!
~blog at least three times a week, on both blogs.
~create an easy inventory system for completed projects
~load calender with markets, and shows
~list something new in all three shops daily
~get ophelias apothecary up and running
~create a planning schedule and stick to it!
~create a marketing plan
~get workspace organized and set up a maintenance schedule to ensure that it stays organized.
~use one of my many planners....i buy them, lose them, and never use them! let's change that habit!
so, to sum it up....get organized, stay organized, and have fun. this will be my battlecry for the year!
